I joined this gym (box) 2 weeks ago as a 41 y/o, never done this before, out of shape “old guy” (per my kids). After 7 sessions, I am learning the movements, my limitations, the lingo and the people. I am learning that it is quite demanding! What sets this apart from a normal gym, IMHO, is the support one receives from the other participants. It seems that encouragement is the word of the day every day. It’s also quite motivating as a guy when you see a 110 lb female who is kicking your ass encouraging you (but not being pushy) to do more. I’m not in the best physical condition, but every time I go to CF, I feel a little stronger, a little faster and have a little more endurance. The coaches do a good job of paying attention to form and preventing injury as well (I have had 3 surgeries on my right shoulder). This has been a fun, but very sore adventure and I look forward to my next WOD!
